PeakShift Privacy Policy

PeakShift ("we," "our," "the app") is a chronotype-based life optimization app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
Information We Collect
If you sign in with Google: your name and email address, provided by Google, used solely to create and identify your account.
If you use Guest mode: we create an anonymous account with no personal information attached. Guest data is tied to your device/browser and may be lost if you clear browser data or switch devices, unless you later link a Google account.
Chronotype quiz data: your answers to our chronotype assessment, and the resulting chronotype classification, are stored to personalize your experience.
Usage data: basic app interaction data (such as which schedule type you're viewing) may be stored to provide app functionality.
We do not collect location data, payment information, or health data beyond your self-reported sleep and energy pattern answers in the quiz.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide your personalized chronotype results, schedule, and insights
- To maintain your account and let you return to your saved data
- We do not sell your data to third parties
- We do not use your data for advertising
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the app:
- Google Sign-In — for authentication, if you choose this option
- Supabase — our database and backend infrastructure provider, which stores your account and app data securely
These providers may process your data as necessary to provide their services to us, under their own privacy policies.
Data Security
Your data is protected using industry-standard security practices, including encrypted connections and access controls that ensure only you can access your own data.
Data Retention & Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing metascroll@gmail.com with the subject "Delete My Account." We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
Children's Privacy
PeakShift is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
